An Israeli military company will equip a European country for 1.6 billion dollars.

Elbit Systems won a tender in a country whose name was not disclosed

Israeli company Elbit Systems announced that it has won the bid for a contract valued at $1.635 billion with a European country whose name was not disclosed.

The agreement, with a duration of five years, includes the delivery of a wide range of defense solutions by the Israeli military technology company.

The contract is divided into two main categories. The first includes long-range precision artillery and rocket systems, as well as unmanned aerial platforms for automated combat and reconnaissance, both at the tactical and operational levels.

This section also covers advanced drones capable of operating in highly demanding environments.

The second category corresponds to ISTAR capabilities (intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance), which encompass signals intelligence (SIGINT), communications intelligence (COMINT), and electronic warfare systems.

These solutions are complemented by information collection and processing equipment, state-of-the-art electro-optical and night vision systems, upgrades for armored vehicles, and protection systems.

Additionally, Elbit will provide the European country with a comprehensive military digitization and network combat solution (Network Combat Solution), supported by advanced hardware and high-capacity communications equipment.

Betzalel Machlis, president and CEO of Elbit Systems, emphasized that this contract "reflects the strong demand in Europe for cutting-edge technologies and demonstrates our ability to offer integrated, multi-domain solutions tailored to the needs of modern defense forces."

Machlis added that the partnership includes industrial cooperation aimed at strengthening the purchasing country's production capabilities in the areas covered.

The announcement comes just two days after Israel's Ministry of Defense signed an agreement with Elbit worth about 900 million NIS for the supply of advanced air-to-ground munitions, designed to be launched from military aircraft against targets on land or at sea.

These recently developed munitions are added to a portfolio that includes supersonic missiles, rockets, and penetration bombs.

Both contracts are part of a context in which European nations and Israel itself seek to strengthen their defensive capabilities in the face of prolonged conflict scenarios.
