Macron rewards terrorism: he announced that France will recognize a Palestinian state
The French president submits to Islamic radicalism and ignores that this encourages more attacks against Israel and Jews
French President Emmanuel Macron announced that France will officially recognize the Palestinian State. He described it as a step "true to its historic commitment to a just and lasting peace in the Middle East," ignoring that in doing so France is rewarding terrorism.
Macron explained in a message on X/Twitter that he will formalize this recognition in September, during the UN General Assembly.
"Today the urgency is to end the war in Gaza and assist the civilian population. Peace is possible," he stated, emphasizing that an immediate ceasefire, the release of all hostages, and broad humanitarian aid are necessary.
The message, nevertheless, is clear: the French president rewards those who attack Israel.

Macron called for the demilitarization of Hamas and the reconstruction of Gaza. "It is essential to build the State of Palestine, ensure its viability, and allow it, by accepting its demilitarization and the full recognition of Israel, to contribute to the security of everyone in the Middle East," he added.
The reaction in Israel, obviously, was not long in coming.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu strongly condemned the decision: "It rewards terror and risks creating another Iranian proxy, as happened with Gaza. A Palestinian state under these conditions would be a platform to annihilate Israel, not to live in peace alongside it. Palestinians do not seek a state next to Israel, but instead of Israel," he warned.
Defense Minister Israel Katz described the announcement as "a disgrace and a surrender to terrorism," accusing Macron of encouraging the "murderers and rapists of Hamas."
Meanwhile, Knesset President Amir Ohana was even harsher: "Macron has just rewarded Hamas for the October 7 massacre. This shameful act is a betrayal. Macron will be remembered as a collaborator with evil, on the wrong side of history."
Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar called the measure 'absurd and unserious', noting that a Palestinian state would end up being a "Hamas state" like Gaza after the 2005 withdrawal.
Finally, Culture and Sports Minister, Miki Zohar, was the main critic and accused Macron of 'selling France to radical Islam'.
