Netanyahu promises to help Iran solve the water crisis 'when it is free'

Iran allocates billions of dollars to terrorism but can't guarantee safe drinking water for its citizens

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a video message to the people of Iran, pledging that Israel will help solve the country's severe water shortage "once it is free from the current regime".

"Greetings from Jerusalem to the proud people of Iran," Netanyahu began.

"Your leaders imposed the 12-Day War on us, and they lost it spectacularly. They lie incessantly, but on rare occasions they tell the truth."

The leader cited recent statements by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who acknowledged deep national problems, including the water shortage: "We have problems with water, electricity, money, and inflation... There will be no water left in the reservoirs by September or October."

Netanyahu agreed with the assessment and added: "Everything is collapsing".

Contrasting Iran's situation with Israel's water achievements, Netanyahu highlighted that the country recycles 90% of its wastewater—the highest rate in the world—and is a leader in desalination technology.

"In this brutal summer heat, you don't even have clean, fresh water to give your children. What hypocrisy, what contempt for the Iranian people," he stated.

He recalled that nearly a decade ago he launched a Telegram channel in Persian to teach about water management, which quickly attracted 100,000 followers. "Iran's thirst for water is only comparable to its thirst for freedom," he emphasized.

Netanyahu promised that "the moment your country is free, Israel's top water experts will flood every Iranian city with cutting-edge technology and knowledge".

The prime minister accused the Iranian leadership of imposing "tyranny and poverty" while allocating hundreds of billions of dollars to Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis, instead of investing in domestic needs. "You don't deserve leaders who flee the country while you suffer alone in a difficult war," he said.

Finally, he called on Iranians to "take to the streets" and "protest against tyranny" to demand justice and accountability.

"Don't let these fanatical mullahs ruin your lives for one more minute. You are not alone: Israel is with you. The free world is with you." He concluded by quoting Theodor Herzl: "If you will it, it is not a dream. If you will it, a free Iran is not a dream. Now is the time to act. Now is the time to fight for freedom."
