Sheinbaum gets involved in Ecuador's elections: Hopefully, they have a female president
Like AMLO, Sheinbaum interferes in Ecuador's elections, saying she hopes they have a president with 'A'
The eyes of the world are on Ecuador for the elections that are taking place, and Mexico is no exception.
During Monday's morning conference, Claudia Sheinbaum spoke out about the Ecuadorian elections, saying the following:
"Hopefully in Ecuador they'll soon shout president with an A"

All this after the candidates Daniel Noboa and his ideological friend Luisa González advanced to the second round.
It is well known that both former president AMLO and the current leader engage in interventionist policies in South American countries whenever there are elections.
AMLO in past years commented on the elections in Colombia (2022) and Argentina (2023), obviously showing support for candidates of his same ideology.

Three years ago during his morning conference, former president Andrés Manuel López Obrador mentioned the following about the Colombian elections:
"I hope that the Colombian brothers choose well and think about a transformation. A true change is needed, but not only in Colombia, also in the United States and around the world. A shake-up is needed"

In 2023 when there were elections in Argentina and where the libertarian Javier Milei emerged victorious, AMLO didn't remain silent and expressed his feelings:
"To put it in one word, with all due respect, it was an own goal. And I don't agree although I respect the decision of the peoples, with right-wing governments."

This is an example of the hypocrisy of the 4T governments as they like to meddle where they're not called, campaigning in favor of their counterparts.
But when it comes to taking a stance on the region's dictatorships (Cuba, Venezuela, etc.) they say they respect the "self-determination of the peoples."

We'll see what happens in the coming days, but hopefully these statements by Sheinbaum don't further aggravate the diplomatic crisis with Ecuador.
