Honda México reported scams involving fake job vacancies at dealerships in GTO and Jalisco.

Criminals use the name of the car manufacturer to summon people at terminals and ask for personal documents

Honda México issued an urgent alert about job frauds affecting citizens in the states of Guanajuato and Jalisco. Fake recruiters are using the brand's name to deceive people seeking employment, putting their safety and identity at risk.

The company asked to ignore these offers and warned about the risk of identity theft

Honda México publicly denounced a fraud scheme circulating on social media. Scammers post fake job offers using the company's logos and names to attract people in economic need. Victims are summoned to bus stations or public places with promises of immediate hiring.

The automaker clarified that none of these calls are part of their official processes. The supposed recruiters demand personal documents like INE, CURP, or bank statements, which poses a serious risk of identity theft.

Honda emphasized that their hiring is conducted only within their facilities and through verified channels. They don't request interviews in public places or cash advances.

The scam circulates on social media and puts hundreds of people at risk

The fraud has spread mainly through WhatsApp and Facebook. The criminals offer supposedly attractive salaries and misleading working conditions to capture users' attention.

In some cases, victims are asked for an advance payment to cover the cost of “uniforms” or “entry expenses.” This reinforces the criminal nature of the scheme, which goes beyond mere corporate identity impersonation.

Honda urged not to share personal data or go to unknown places without official confirmation. They recommended contacting the service number 800 368 8500 or visiting their official site www.honda.mx to verify any vacancy.

The company reiterated that they don't request deposits or interviews outside their facilities.

The authorities have already been notified about these fraud cases

Honda México reported that they have already notified the relevant authorities. They urged those who have been victims to file their complaint with the Prosecutor's Office.

The company explained that this type of crime may be related to extortion, cyber fraud, or identity theft. In recent years, the Attorney General's Office has identified similar patterns in other states, with consequences for thousands of people.

Victims not only lose money. They are also exposed to greater crimes that compromise their safety and economic stability.

Honda asked the public to stay informed and act with caution.

The automaker closed its statement by reminding that no serious company conducts impromptu hiring. True job opportunities are on official channels, not in viral chains or messages without a source.

They called on the population to not be deceived by false promises that end in frustration, economic losses, and, in many cases, high-risk situations.
