The truth behind Gianfranco Agostini's violent expulsion from the 8M march

Yesterday, during a feminist march in Montevideo, the communicator and blogger Gianfranco Agostini, known as "Gian," was violently and arbitrarily expelled by the police, in an act that exposes the fascism disguised as progressivism that certain sectors aim to impose in Uruguay. 

Gian, who peacefully attended to cover the event as part of his journalistic work, was recognized by the protesters, verbally assaulted, and finally removed from the public space by law enforcement, in a clear violation of his freedom of expression and press. 

But this incident is not an isolated event: it is the most recent chapter of a campaign of harassment, defamation, and distortion orchestrated by far-left actors, with the support of media like Montevideo Portal and figures like Nicolás Erramuspe, executive director of the University Cinema and alleged member of the Zin TV team.

The Origin of the Conflict: A Plot of Leftist Misogyny and Revenge

It all began with Federico Cabral, alias "Niyer," a YouTuber who in multiple videos has proclaimed that "women should be beaten" and "made slaves." This individual, with an openly misogynistic and violent discourse, crossed paths with Gian when he wrote to him, insulting him, calling him a "progressive wimp" and a "leftist piece of shit," and threatening to "shoot him." In response to this provocation, Gian challenged him to meet face to face, but Niyer, true to his cowardice, refused. 

Far from giving up, Gian decided to expose the true nature of his harasser. With the help of a friend of his wife, he set a trap: the woman contacted Niyer, arranged to meet him at a location, and when he showed up, Gian appeared to confront him.

Far from resorting to violence, Gian humiliated him and publicly exposed him for his abhorrent discourse, recording the encounter as irrefutable evidence. Humiliated, Niyer ran to the police to file a complaint, seeking to victimize himself.

The Irony of Erramuspe: Defending the Misogynist

This is where Nicolás Erramuspe comes into play, who had already had previous clashes with Gian on social media. 

Taking advantage of Niyer's complaint, Erramuspe did not hesitate to jump on the defamation bandwagon. In an ironic and shameful twist, this supposed progressive ended up defending the misogynist Niyer, presenting him as a victim and accusing Gian of being a "violent Nazi." With the complicity of Montevideo Portal, Erramuspe promoted a narrative that distorted the facts, deliberately ignoring Niyer's history of verbal violence and the context of the confrontation.

But Erramuspe's hypocrisy doesn't end there. According to anonymous sources informed La Derecha Diario, he and his partner allegedly led a virtual harassment campaign against Gian and his pregnant wife.

The messages, of indescribable moral baseness, included threats to "beat the daughter they were expecting to cause a miscarriage" and "kill the baby." These atrocities, which should be immediately investigated by the authorities, were conveniently silenced by Erramuspe's allied media, like Montevideo Portal, who preferred to focus on demonizing Gian.

 

Fascism in Action: Violent Expulsion at the March

The climax of this persecution occurred yesterday, when Gian attended the feminist march with the sole objective of conducting interviews and documenting the event. 

However, the protesters recognized him and, instead of engaging in dialogue, opted for attack. Shouting insults and accusing him without evidence, they managed to get the police to intervene to violently expel him from the public space. 

This act is not only an attack on press freedom but a clear demonstration of how the supposed antifascism of certain sectors resorts to fascist tactics to silence those who do not conform to their agenda.

He was not the only case. Another communicator, also a collaborator of La Derecha Diario, faced a similar attempt of aggression at the same march. "I stood my ground and they couldn't handle me," he recounted. "They hate me because I walk around with a smile in the middle of their marches, and they have no way to break me." 

This testimony reflects the resistance of those who refuse to be intimidated by the dictatorship of single thought.

Charrúa Antifascista and Sergio Grosztejn: More Pieces of the Puzzle

The harassment is not limited to Erramuspe and Montevideo Portal. The account *Charrúa Antifascista*, apparently linked to this far-left network, has also been pointed out for harassing communicators like Sergio Grosztejn, another target of their defamations. With the support of complicit media, this group is dedicated to distorting facts and demonizing those who challenge their cultural hegemony, all under the guise of an antifascism that, in practice, turns out to be the opposite.

The Truth Cannot Be Silenced

Gianfranco Agostini is not a Nazi, nor a violent person, nor an oppressor. He is a communicator who has bravely faced those who threaten him, defame him, and now try to expel him from the public space. The true violence lies in Niyer's words, in the threats from Erramuspe and his partner, and in the brutality with which the feminists and the police silenced his voice yesterday. The real victim here is freedom, attacked by an alliance of recycled misogynists, hypocritical progressives, and sold-out media.
