More than 200 young people from across the country gathered at the first national camp, marking the official launch of Uruguay's Pro-Life Youth Network. The event, described as "historic" by its organizers, had as its main objective to train youth leaders and establish a national network dedicated to defending life from conception and promoting family values.
The initiative is led by physician Lorena Quintana, former vice-presidential candidate for Cabildo Abierto and a well-known advocate for life and family. In statements to Radio Monte Carlo, Quintana emphasized: "This is a historic gathering, with the presence of more than 200 young people from across the country, with the goal of training leaders and establishing a national network in defense of life."
The camp included training workshops in bioethics, reflections on family and the culture of life, community-building activities, campfires, and artistic performances, such as the quartet Ecos de Ti, which enlivened the days with music.
