Orsi is the president with the highest salary in South America.
He pretends to be a man of the people but earns almost $15,000 per month, much more than his counterparts in South America
If we consider the 10 South American countries Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, Peru (Perú), Uruguay, and Venezuela, the Uruguayan Yamandú Orsi is by far the one with the highest monthly salary of all.
Converted to dollars, the leftist Orsi has a gross monthly salary of approximately 14,245dollars, according to recent information.
Next in the ranking are also leftist Gustavo Petro from Colombia, with a salary of around 13,250 dollars, and Dina Boluarte from Peru (Perú), with approximately 10,000 dollars.
They are followed by Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (Brazil): 9,908 dollars, Gabriel Boric (Chile): 7,901 dollars, Daniel Noboa (Ecuador): 5,072 dollars, Santiago Peña (Paraguay): 4,755 dollars, and Luis Arce (Bolivia): 3,600 dollars.
Finally, the one who receives the lowest monthly salary is the Argentine Javier Milei: 3,230 dollars.
The communist dictator Nicolás Maduro, it is not known for certain what his monthly salary is, since, as with any communist dictatorship, he doesn't provide reliable figures.

In addition, in a totalitarian state like Venezuela, the personal assets of the rulers are mixed with the public assets that should belong to everyone.
Orsi's hypocrisy
While he wants to present himself publicly as a man of the people, in a country with 3,500,000 inhabitants he receives almost 15,000 dollars in monthly salary, much more than Milei, who in a country with 47 million inhabitants receives 3,230 dollars.
He also has other privileges, such as the presidential mansion of Suárez in Montevideo, the mega ranch Anchorena in the department of Colonia, and of course official cars, and a retinue of servants at his disposal.
While he sells himself as a man of the people, he lives like a king, enjoys almost 15,000 in cash every month, and has a host of servants entirely at his disposal.

Privileges in an impoverished country
The government has just announced that it wants to impose a tax on purchases made through Temu.
This will directly harm the most humble citizens, who are the ones who shop in this way.
However, the political class continues to accumulate privileges.
Orsi is the best example, pocketing almost 15,000 dollars a month paid by Uruguayan taxpayers with their taxes.

Meanwhile, he forbids those same taxpayers from buying a pair of socks through Temu, by applying a new tax to that transaction.
A true abuse and a mockery of the hard-working taxpayers who pay their taxes on time.
In Uruguay, there is a ruling caste full of privileges that lives like royalty, and a country with tax slaves who are tired of paying extremely high taxes all the time.
