Orsi leaves a terrible image of Uruguay at the UN

The president participated on September 23 in the 80th session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in New York.

This was his first address at this forum as head of state, where he emphasized multilateralism, the peaceful resolution of conflicts, and the defense of global peace.

He mentioned the worsening situation in Ukraine and called for international cooperation to solve global problems.

In addition, he had previously paid tribute to the Tupamaro terrorist José Mujica. At the UN, where almost 200 countries of the world are represented, Orsi paid tribute to a violator of Human Rights, who attacked democracy and freedom.

This way, he gave a terrible image of Uruguay by honoring an execrable deceased terrorist.

Regrettable interview

On Monday the 21st, he was interviewed by an international channel, and the communication was shameful. The interview took place at the 2025 Concordia Annual Summit.

He appeared insecure, slow, and at a certain moment did not know how to answer a simple question.

He went blank and then replied with something irrelevant.

The interviewer was left perplexed by the president of a country who is not able to string together a simple sentence and answer an elementary question.

He gave a terrible image of the country before an international media outlet.

He appeared hesitant, stuttered, and did not say anything concrete.

Speech at the UN

When speaking before the Assembly in a half-empty room, he delivered a hollow speech, without substance, and politically correct. The very few people who were present merely listened to him without much interest.

He spoke for only 14 minutes and his speech was marked by phrases that had no deep content; it was mere chatter from which nothing positive could be salvaged.

A shadowy president

Orsi is not an international leader, nor is he even a regional reference in South America.

He is a shadowy head of state who leads an anti-democratic and corrupt political force, and a government that has been in office for six months and has multiplied the closure of companies and violent crimes.

On the streets of Montevideo, and in some areas of the Interior, there are one or two homicides every day.

Meanwhile, while he wastes time at the UN, companies continue to close in Uruguay, there are violent homicides every day, piranha robberies are multiplying, and the government sent to Parliament a Budget bill that will increase taxes, violating the campaign promise not to raise them.

In conclusion, the speech at the UN had no significance, the interview he gave on Monday was a true disaster, and Uruguayans are paying with their taxes for a delegation of ministers, advisors, and secretaries that brings no benefit to the country.
