ASSE president Álvaro Danza violates the Constitution
Danza holds two positions in private mutual insurance companies, which was concealed by the Minister of Health, Cristina Lustemberg
Álvaro Danza was appointed last March as president of the State Health Services Administration (ASSE) by Cristina Lustemberg, the Minister of Public Health.
Danza has faced significant criticism for continuing to work as a physician at two private mutual societies (Asociación Española and Médica Uruguaya) while holding the presidency of ASSE, which is completely unconstitutional.
This clearly violates Article 200 of the Constitution and Article 9 of Law 18.161, which prohibit directors of public entities such as ASSE from participating in private activities directly or indirectly related to their public role.
There is precedent
There are conflicts of interest and previous cases, such as the resignation of Baltasar Aguilar in 2008 for similar reasons. This occurred during Vázquez's first government.

It is clear that the situation is unsustainable, and Álvaro Danza must be fired or must resign.
He is violating the Constitution blatantly and this can't be tolerated under any circumstances.
Other cases from Orsi's government
It is worth recalling the cases of then Minister of Housing Cecilia Cairo, who, along with her entire family, had her residence undeclared and on irregular land, a situation that persisted for more than 30 years.
There are also cases of tax evaders such as Óscar Andrade, senator of the Communist Party, who did not pay his Property Tax for his chalet in the San Luis resort, in Canelones.

Or the case of Rodrigo Arim, current director of the OPP and former rector of the Universidad de la República, who owns a spectacular house in the Solís resort in Maldonado, and did not pay the corresponding taxes.
Additionally, Arim rented out his house, which was in an irregular situation. Therefore, he did not pay his taxes but profited from the property.
The cases of Alejandra Koch from the Socialist Party, who had to resign from the vice presidency of the National Port Administration a couple of months ago due to serious irregularities and incompatibilities.

Serial violators of public ethics
In Yamandú Orsi's government, in less than 6 months of administration, there are numerous cases of political leaders who violate the rules for similar reasons.
Tax evasions or incompatibilities in office. This is a modus operandi that repeats over time and shows a disastrous administration in less than 6 months since taking office.
