The retired colonel who was a candidate for mayor of Montevideo in last May's elections for the Coalición República has left Cabildo Abierto, Guido Manini's party.
García is leaving Cabildo Abierto after this political group has voted for the worst laws together with Frente Amplio.
The two Cabildo Abierto deputies, Álvaro Perrone and Silvana Pérez Bonavita, have so far given Frente Amplio the two votes the left needs in the Chamber of Deputies to have the absolute majority of 50 votes.
Because of Cabildo Abierto, Frente Amplio has approved new taxes and, above all, the Five-Year Budget, which is the left's economic plan to further impoverish the country and increase unemployment, poverty, and misery.
The Budget bill was voted for by the two Cabildo Abierto deputies by 95%.

It is worth noting that Frente Amplio has 48 votes in the Chamber of Deputies, and needs two more to reach the 50 required to pass laws.
These two votes are being provided by the two Cabildo Abierto deputies.
The former mayoral candidate is being consistent with what he has advocated since he entered politics recently, and he has pointed out the blatant betrayals of Cabildo Abierto, giving the two votes in the lower house to the Frente Amplio government.
The two traitor deputies
Álvaro Perrone and Silvana Pérez are betraying Cabildo Abierto voters in the worst way.
