The terrorist Mujica's government financed La Diaria in 2013
The far-left pamphlet received $400,000 through FONDES in 2013, during José Mujica's administration
The far-left pamphlet is funded with public money, and with money from international organizations that promote abortion, gender ideology, environmental fanaticism, radical feminism, and that support the narco dictatorships of Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua.
La Derecha Diario has already reported that one of its sources of funding is Fundación Avina, which, together with Omidyar Network and Avina Americas, created the Latin American Alliance for Civic Technology (ALTEC) in 2017, with a fund of 3.5 million dollars to "support civic technology projects in Latin America".
La Diaria has this foreign Foundation as a source of its funding.
They also use FONDES, taking advantage of their ideological affinity with Frente Amplio governments.
What is FONDES?
It is the Development Fund, and it was created by law 19,337 in 2015, during Vázquez's second government.
It is a "project support" mechanism. It was created to finance companies, especially cooperatives, and to promote the "social and solidarity economy".

It is divided into two departments: one managed by the National Institute of Cooperativism (Inacoop), and the other by the National Development Agency (ANDE).
In practice, it is dedicated to funding cooperatives led by individuals close to Frente Amplio or PIT-CNT.
Money is injected into cooperative ventures that almost always end in ruin due to corruption and inefficiency.
Mujica's 400,000 dollars
In 2013, during the presidency of Frente Amplio's José Mujica, "support" of 400,000dollars was granted through FONDES.
In mid-2013, the government of then-president Mujica was considering granting television frequencies to various business groups.
One of these was the GiroConsortium, which included the communist pamphlet La Diaria.
In September 2013, according to the portal 180.com.uy on the 27th of that month, José Mujica stated regarding La Diaria, "a month ago, because of its cooperative nature, they asked us in FONDES for support to launch a magazine. Support of 400,000dollars. And if you needed a loan to launch a magazine, don't ask me for a channel now. Because also, if you ask me for money for that and you ask me for a channel, I end up looking like I'm giving you money, setting up the play, and going for the header. It's childish logic".

He was referring to the fact that FONDES had granted La Diaria 400,000 dollars in "support", as confessed by the Frente Amplio president himself.
After that "support" of public money, in the second half of 2013, the far-left pamphlet intended for Mujica's government to grant it a television frequency, which Mujica refused because La Diaria's television project was unfeasible.
The radio program No toquen nada, broadcast by FM Del Sol, confirmed in September 2013 that FONDES authorized the injection of money to La Diaria.
The pamphlet's idea was to launch a magazine called Lento. Using the excuse of funding a new magazine, they received 400,000 dollars. A fortune for a pamphlet that was founded in 2006 and had very few readers.
"Journalism" on the payroll
As can be easily seen, La Diaria took advantage of its closeness to the Frente Amplio government, and in 2013, 400,000 dollars were injected into it.
The maneuver was carried out through FONDES, and everything was disguised as "support" for a new magazine.

Not content with having received that fortune, they pressured the Tupamaro president to also grant them a frequency for a television channel, which they ultimately did not obtain.
The Chavista pamphlet continues to insist that it is funded by "subscribers", but the truth is that it has received tons of public money in different ways.
Not only through advertising contracts from various ministries or public companies such as UTE or ANTEL, but also through FONDES.
The pamphlet that perceives itself as an "independent press outlet" is funded with the money of all Uruguayans.
They are not independent at all. They receive public money thanks to shady contacts with unscrupulous government officials who use everyone's resources to fund fellow pamphlets.
La Diaria is funded with taxpayers'money, who pay their taxes with great sacrifice, and also with shady funds coming from abroad.
