The deep reform of the federal security system promoted by the Government is beginning to show concrete results: in just a few days since the opening of the call, 25,000 Argentines have registered to join the new Crime Investigator Career Track for Professionals, an absolute record that reflects the growing interest in joining the fight against organized crime within a modernized, professional, and excellence-oriented framework.
The initiative is part of the institutional transformation process established by Decree 383/2025, which redefined the structure of the Policía Federal Argentina (PFA) and created the Departamento Federal de Investigaciones (DFI) as the central axis for the prevention, detection, and investigation of federal and complex crimes. This new framework, promoted by Minister Patricia Bullrich, leaves behind the old bureaucratic model and orients the force toward technical work, criminal intelligence, and the investigation of mafia organizations.

Resolution 1291/2025, published in the Official Gazette, formalized the creation of the "Crime Investigator for Professionals" Career Track, aimed at university graduates in strategic areas such as Engineering, Criminalistics, Forensic Sciences, Accounting, Administration, Computer Science, Systems, Exact Sciences, and Cybersecurity. The objective was clear: to incorporate highly qualified specialists into the upper ranks of the PFA to strengthen the state's capacity against drug trafficking, money laundering, human trafficking, and transnational mafias.
Admission requires Argentine nationality, a university degree or technical degree in the selected disciplines, certified professional background, psychophysical evaluations, and a maximum age of 40 years (with possible exceptions). Those who pass the process will be admitted "on commission" as Subinspectors in the Security Track, and will undergo an intensive nine-month training program with international standards. Only after completing all stages will they be allowed to wear a uniform and carry weapons.
