Thian Toledo, a 7-year-old boy, died after suffering a medical emergency at a birthday party that was being held in Capilla de los Remedios, Córdoba.
The incident occurred at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. In addition, it was reported that the ambulance that was supposed to assist him was significantly delayed, according to people close to the boy.
According to his mother, Thian was playing with his friends when, all of a sudden, he sat down on a chair and collapsed.
He was rushed to the local clinic, where he arrived with very weak vital signs.
At the health center, the boy suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest. Although the medical staff tried to resuscitate him for 45 minutes, their efforts were in vain and they were unable to save his life.
The cause of death is being investigated by the 2nd District Prosecutor's Office of Córdoba.

The intervention of the Judicial Police was ordered and an autopsy was arranged on the minor's body to clarify the exact circumstances of his death.

Amid immense pain, the boy's father, Diego Toledo, shared an emotional message on social media as a farewell.
"My heart is in mourning and my soul is shattered into a thousand pieces, never to be put back together, son. Because you left my arms and tore yourself from the deepest part of my heart," he posted.
"Dad will no longer be the same as always without your presence in my days. From today, you decided to open your beautiful wings to go with God."
"In every moment and every corner of the house, you are present, my beautiful pipí. I love you so much, as I always told you, and I need you to keep living because I have no desire to go on without you," he concluded.
