In a framework of profound economic transformation aimed at international competitiveness, Argentina under Javier Milei has definitively established itself as the preferred tourist destination in the region, led by a historic reception of Brazilians. During the year 2026, the flow of visitors has experienced sustained growth of great magnitude, decisively driven by the open skies policy, the end of air monopolies, deregulation of fares, and a professional and coordinated effort alongside private tourism sector actors.

This new paradigm of economic freedom has allowed Brazil to indisputably crown itself as the number 1 market in the receptive tourism ranking in the national territory. According to the most recent official data, the total from January to August 2026 reveals an extraordinary year-on-year growth of +14% in the arrival of Brazilian tourists, representing a net influx of 799,281 visitors of that nationality who chose Argentine soil to enjoy its services and consume.

This vigorous flow of foreign currency and economic activity reached a staggering pace during the month of August, a period in which a spectacular acceleration was recorded with a year-on-year increase of 24% in its early days, consolidating an unstoppable upward trend compared to the previous year's records.

The key behind this historic takeoff lies in the profound revolution of air connectivity fostered by libertarian deregulation, which buried protectionist policies and allowed a remarkable increase in the supply of flights. Official records reflect an increase of +8.8% in the supply of air seats compared to the year 2025.

Moreover, consumer confidence and interest in the destination skyrocketed exponentially, recording a phenomenal +46.8% year-on-year increase in flight searches to the country.

This explosion of supply and demand has been capitalized on thanks to the formation of new strategic commercial alliances with giants in the sector such as GOL, Decolar, Aerolíneas Argentinas, Expedia, JetSMART, and LATAM Airlines.

External promotion also took a 180-degree turn under criteria of efficiency and high-impact campaigns directed straight at the target audience.

Among these strategies stands out the massive digital campaign "Freedom Lives Here" (focusing on snow), which achieved the impressive figure of over 110 million impressions and reached more than 16 million unique users per month.

The operational deployment in the Brazilian market included direct actions with the trade tourism through continuous online training and the holding of workshops and training in 10 cities in Brazil.

Additionally, the private strategy included presence at prestigious global events such as WTM Latin America - IMM Brazil, the GEA Group Convention, and Travel Next Minas, practically complemented by the realization of 3 Fam Tours and 6 Influencer Trips that involved the direct participation of 24 Brazilian content creators.

This massive influx of Brazilian visitors strongly flowed into the most competitive and emblematic tourist destinations in Argentina, highlighting visits to Buenos Aires, San Carlos de Bariloche, Mendoza, Ushuaia, and Puerto Iguazú.

Looking ahead, Argentina's commercial insertion agenda will continue to deepen through participation in large-scale international fairs such as ABAV Expo São Paulo, the Schultz Convention, and the Argentina On Tour tour (in its Edição Neve).

Additionally, business rounds are projected in the Visit Argentina Business Hub within the International Tourism Fair (FIT), along with new regional workshops in key cities of the neighboring country such as Brasilia, Manaus, Campo Grande, Cuiabá, Florianópolis, and Porto Alegre, accompanied by digital campaigns focused on summer getaways and Brazilian holidays.

All this solid database and statistical measurements that confirm the resounding success of the economic freedom model come from the Tourism Information System of Argentina (SINTA), dependent on the Undersecretariat of Tourism of the Secretariat of Tourism, Environment, and Sports of the Nation, in conjunction with the prestigious global travel technology platform Amadeus
