An evening of boxing in Turkey ended in scandal.
The fight in Trabzon between local Emirhan Kalkan and Russian Sergei Gorokhov, for a Universal Boxing Organization (UBO) title, was suspended and then canceled due to a pitched battle inside and outside the ring.It all started at the end of the third round, when the first crosses emerged between members of both teams. What began as an exchange of insults on street corners quickly escalated to pushes and blows between members from every corner. In a matter of seconds, the situation completely spilled over.
