Brazilian presidential candidate Flavio Bolsonaro participated in the conservative CPAC conference in Texas, where he gave an interview to Javier Negre, journalist and owner of La Derecha Diario. In this framework, he left key definitions about Brazil's political present and the electoral scenario.

Asked about the situation of his father, former president Jair Bolsonaro, he confirmed that his state of health improved after being released from prison and placed under house arrest. However, he stressed that he continues to be a victim of political persecution. He also recalled that his health has been affected since the attack he suffered in 2018, when he was stabbed by a left-wing militant, and he assured that his family will take care of
him. The former president is going through 27 years of sentence for reporting fraud.
Bolsonaro also stated that, if he becomes president, he will seek justice for the situation his father is going through, in what he defined as a process of repression promoted by
the current government.
When asked about the ban on The Daily Right in Brazil, he pointed out against the actions of Justice and maintained that a system has been installed where censorship becomes a common practice. In that regard, he affirmed that Congress will be key this year to guarantee freedom of expression and of the press.
In terms of security, the candidate said that he shares an agenda with the President of the United States, Donald Trump, in the need to classify criminal organizations as terrorists. He criticized the fact that the current Brazilian president, Lula da Silva, refuses to move in that direction

Regarding the electoral process, Bolsonaro assured that his space is working on a control scheme to prevent irregularities. He explained that a large number of people will be trained to oversee both the previous and the development of the elections.
