President Javier Milei celebrated a key ruling in the United States that favors Argentina in the trial for the expropriation of YPF.
At the same time, he harshly targeted Axel Kicillof and Kirchnerism, whom he blamed for the economic and legal disaster the country was facing.
A historic ruling that avoids paying $18 billion
The New York Court of Appeals overturned the trial conviction handed down by Judge Loretta Preska
.This means that Argentina will not have to pay the nearly 18 billion dollars that were at stake.
Milei defined it as:
“A historic ruling”
“The greatest legal achievement in national history”
and stressed that the result was less than 15% likely to occur
.
Milei against Kicillof: very harsh criticism of Kirchnerism During an official ceremony, the
President was direct.“We had to come and fix the shit out of Kicillof's useless, imbecile and incompetent,” he said.
He also targeted Cristina Kirchner, whom he described as “corrupt and imprisoned”.
The focus is clear: holding Kirchnerism responsible for the expropriation of YPF and its consequences.
The source of the problem: the expropriation of YPF
The judicial conflict dates back to 2012, when Cristina Kirchner's government moved forward with the nationalization of
the oil company. At the time, Kicillof was Minister of Economy and one of the main drivers of the measure.
