Cristián Fabbiani will return to management after his departure from Newell's and he will do so in an unexpected destination: he was confirmed as the new coach of Vardar Skopje, one of the most important teams in North Macedonia.

The technician himself anticipated the news on his social networks with an image from the airport on his way to Europe: “What was so wanted was given. Now let's continue to grow. Every effort has a reward,” he wrote.

In what will be his first experience abroad, the Ogre will take on a team that is going through a great present, since he leads the local championship with Shkëndija Tetovo and is the

country's highest historic winner with 11 titles.

However, the challenge will involve adapting to a context completely different from that of Argentine football. Beyond that, in his new phase, he will have a compatriot presence on the squad, since he will direct Diego Castañeda, Ian Puleio

and Joaquín Torres.

The Ogre will take office in June and will have a period of adaptation ahead of him that will include learning the language and knowledge of the club. Thus, he will seek to consolidate his coaching career with his first experience in European football

.

Fabbiani's numbers as DT Since his debut as

coach in mid-2021, the former River has been with four different clubs: Fénix, Deportivo Riestra (in two cycles), Deportivo Merlo and Newell's. In his almost five years active, Fabbiani led 103 games, of which he won 33, drew 38 and lost 32, with a neutral balance of 111 goals for and against.
