His stepfather was also arrested, in a case that is moving towards a charge of homicide aggravated by the link.
The procedure was performed on Sunday night, after 21:30. Mariela Altamirano was taken to the Rada Tilly police station, while her partner, Maicol González, was detained in a unit in the town of Mosconi. Meanwhile, the baby they both share was referred to Córdoba, where part of the woman's family resides
. Angel Lopez. According to information released by local media, both would be charged this Tuesday, after the autopsy confirmed that Ángel had “injuries to the cranial area” and blows that occurred at least ten days before his death.
This fact is central to the cause and contradicts the initial version provided by
Altamirano.
The boy had been transferred on April 5 to the Comodoro Rivadavia Regional Hospital, when he was under maternal care.
Two days later, he died at the health center after being admitted with cardiorespiratory arrest, after being decompensated in the house where his mother lived. The minor was bound there by a court order, as part of a "reengagement process”
. Ángel's biological mother.
The version of the biological mother
In her first statement, Altamirano stated that her son decompensated while he was sleeping and that he died soon after
in the hospital.
However, the preliminary autopsy detected internal injuries to the head, raising questions about that story. Based on these results, the prosecutor in the case, Facundo Oribones, awaits the final forensic report to proceed with greater precision in the
indictment.
One of the key elements for the advancement of the research was the report of the Regional Hospital. The document indicates that the minor was transported by the emergency service 107 in critical condition and states that the paramedics “report that there was a history of previous trauma”. This point was decisive in deepening the line of investigation
. Angel Lopez. According to the medical record, Ángel was admitted with “poor general condition” and “paleness”.
During the ambulance ride, he received resuscitation maneuvers, such as heart massages
and medication.
Upon arriving at the hospital, he was unconscious, unresponsive to stimuli and in an extremely serious state. The medical team performed emergency procedures, including assisted ventilation and intubation, but failed to reverse
the condition.
The father's complaint In parallel, the
boy's biological father, Luis López, extended his criminal complaint.
In his presentation, not only does he point to Altamirano and González as directly responsible for an alleged aggravated homicide, but he also points to state responsibility.
The complaint includes judges, family counselors and Protection Service officials, whom he accuses of not having intervened despite numerous warnings of danger.
The case is still under development and judicial definitions are expected in the next few hours, based on the final results of the forensic examinations.
