Less than a month after leaving Boca, Lucas Blondel begins to regain prominence. In his new phase in Huracán, the right back converted into a 2-1 victory against Olimpo de Bahía Blanca in the 32nd finals of the Argentine Cup and left a reflection that pointed, without directly mentioning it, to his
situation in Xeneize.
After the match, Blondel spoke about his present and the recent period in which he was not considered by the xeneize coach, Claudio Úbeda: "I still can't assimilate it, that's a little like the football player's life. Sometimes you have to be away for a while, the important thing is to be prepared for when the opportunity comes. That's why you underestimate training when you don't take it into account.”
“In this time I realized that it was worth the effort, I am grateful to Huracán, I am happy, very comfortable and feeling like a player again,” he said.
After a 2025 in which he lost his place in Boca, and with the need to add up minutes in order to enter the final list of the Swiss National Team for the 2026 World Cup, the right back opted for a change of pace. At the beginning of the month, he went to Huracán, a club where he will initially be on loan until the end of the year and with which he is slowly regaining his competitive pace
.
In that sense, shortly after joining the Parque Patricios team, Blondel thanked the club itself and its coach, Diego Martínez, for this new opportunity: “Diego already knows me, I thanked him and Huracán for bringing me, I'm very happy to be here. I want to give them back everything they did for me, now let's look ahead and improve what we did today
.”
With few games in his new team, Blondel has already shown signs of football recovery and seeks to relaunch his career with continuity, something he had not found in his last stretch in Boca.
