Trump justified the offensive against the Iranian regime: “They are mentally ill”

He stated that joint action with Israel prevented a global catastrophe.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, strongly defended the military offensive launched with Israel against the Iranian regime and assured that the action prevented a scenario of nuclear war. In public statements following the development of the so-called “Operation Epic Fury”, the president was categorical in describing Tehran's leadership

.

Trump argued that, had the operation not been carried out, the world would have faced devastating consequences. According to him, the Iranian regime was moving towards a threat on a global scale and the intervention was decisive in stopping that process. In this context, he described the Iranian authorities as mentally ill, angry and out of control, stressing that the risk was not rhetorical but

concrete.

The joint offensive between the United States and Israel came after weeks of indirect negotiations in which Washington demanded the dismantling of the Iranian nuclear program.

Faced with Tehran's refusal to give in to uranium enrichment, the White House opted for coordinated military action with the government of Benjamin Netanyahu.

The attacks impacted strategic infrastructure in Tehran and other key cities. Later, Israeli authorities confirmed the death of the Iranian supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, in a bombardment aimed at a fortified underground complex. The elimination of the regime's top figure represents the most significant blow against the Iranian power structure since its establishment

.

From Washington, Trump insisted that the objective of the operation was to neutralize imminent threats against the United States, its troops deployed in the region and its strategic allies. He also reiterated that his administration would not accept any agreement that would allow Iran to continue with nuclear capabilities susceptible

to military use.

The Iranian response was not long in coming. Tehran launched missiles against Israel and against US bases in different Gulf countries. Several nations, including Bahrain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, activated their air defense systems and intercepted projectiles. The escalation led to temporary closures of airspace and disruptions to commercial and diplomatic routes

.

In this context, Trump's message sought to reinforce the narrative that the offensive was preventive and necessary. According to his view, the alternative would have been a much broader and more destructive confrontation. The White House believes that the fall of the Iranian leadership opens a new phase in the Middle East
