The presidential spokesperson, Adrián Ravier, assured this Friday that the Argentine economy has entered a cycle of sustained expansion backed by the fiscal, monetary, and exchange rate balance achieved by the government of Javier Milei.
During a press conference at the Casa Rosada, the official stated that the growth recorded since the first half of 2024 is not a transitory phenomenon but the result of a new macroeconomic framework based on economic openness, the reduction of regulations, and fiscal stability.
“After half a century of a stagnant economy, Argentina is beginning a cycle of expansion based on macroeconomic balances,”
expressed Ravier.
The Government projects three consecutive years of growth
Ravier maintained that the Monthly Economic Activity Estimator (EMAE) shows growth close to 10 percentage points of GDP since the first half of 2024, following the exchange rate correction made at the beginning of the administration.
Additionally, he highlighted that the recovery is supported by monetary, fiscal, and exchange rate balance, economic openness, and the reduction of bureaucracy through deregulations.
“There is a strength that explains this expansion as something that will continue,”
the spokesperson affirmed.
In this regard, he noted that for the first time in a long time, Argentina could register three consecutive years of economic activity expansion.
Historic record in hydrocarbon production
The official emphasized that energy, mining, and agro-industry are three of the main engines of growth for the Argentine economy.
In particular, he highlighted that hydrocarbon production reached 903,700 barrels per day in May, representing a year-on-year increase of 19.6% and a new historic record.
Ravier also announced the approval of a new project under the Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI) in Neuquén, aimed at the development of unconventional hydrocarbons in Rincón de Aranda.
US$ 4.521 billion
The project will generate 715 direct jobs and 500 indirect jobs during the construction phase.

Agro-industrial exports at historic highs
The spokesperson also reported that agro-industrial exports reached a historic record in the first five months of the year, with 53 million tons sent to more than 130 international destinations.
In parallel, external sales of beef also recorded a new historic high, with a 46% increase in value and an 11% increase in volume.
“This is the result of a management that is aware of the potential that Argentina has if it exploits its natural resources,”
Ravier stated.
Argentine assistance in Venezuela
During the conference, the spokesperson also highlighted Argentina's participation in assistance efforts following the earthquake that occurred in Venezuela.
According to reports, Argentina is one of the Latin American countries that has sent the most humanitarian aid and confirmed the dispatch of a new mission aboard a Lockheed C-130 Hercules aircraft with 38 personnel, supplies, and specialized equipment.
Ravier also noted that the consular mission continues to assist affected Argentines, with six confirmed deaths, eight missing persons, and one hospitalized individual.
Support for Diego Santilli
Finally, the presidential spokesperson wished “the greatest success” to the newly appointed Chief of Staff, Diego Santilli, who has embarked on a new political phase aimed at deepening agreements to promote structural reforms.
With these statements, the Casa Rosada sought to reinforce the message that the economic recovery has permanent foundations and that the country is going through a phase of sustained expansion supported by macroeconomic stability, energy investment, and export growth.
