The Secretary of Innovation, Science and Technology, Adriana Baravalle, met with Jensen Huang, co-founder, president, and CEO of NVIDIA, during her participation in the G20 Ministerial Meeting on Innovation.
The meeting also included the Secretary of Commerce of the United States under the administration of Donald Trump, Howard Lutnick.
The meeting focused on the main challenges and opportunities posed by technological transformation and the trends that are changing the global innovation landscape.
The meeting
The meeting with Huang placed Baravalle in a position to exchange ideas with one of the leading international figures in the technology industry, within an agenda related to the development of new technologies and the changes affecting the sector globally.
During the meeting, the officials and the businessman discussed the opportunities and challenges associated with technological transformation, as well as the trends that are redefining the international innovation landscape.
Baravalle's participation in this meeting occurred in her role at the head of the Secretariat of Innovation, Science and Technology, an area for which she is responsible for an agenda related to innovation and technological transformation.
A specialist with a technical and academic profile
Baravalle took charge of the area with a strong scientific and technological profile, having been appointed in August by the Government of Javier Milei.
She is a doctor in Artificial Intelligence, a master's degree holder in Data Science and Knowledge Management from Universidad Austral, and was developing a doctorate in Engineering at that same institution.

Her background also includes experience in research, teaching, and managing technological projects, both in the private sector and in public administration. Additionally, she directs the Exponential Technologies Laboratory at Universidad Austral, where she works on emerging technologies and their applications.
The official is also the founder and academic director of synapsIA, a regional network of specialists in artificial intelligence, and participates in research related to post-quantum cryptography, critical infrastructures, and cybersecurity, as well as international scientific projects.
Throughout her career, she was part of the Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity Table that contributed to the development of the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy between 2016 and 2019. She also has prior experience within the National Public Administration.
Her arrival in Milei's Government represents a commitment to a technical and specialized profile to lead strategic areas related to innovation, artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, and the technological transformation of the State.
In this context, the meeting with Jensen Huang reinforced the international profile of an official with a strong academic background and experience in emerging technologies, as she participated in a meeting alongside top-level figures from the global technology sector.
