The AFA announced the date, time, and location of the 2025 Torneo Apertura final.

The Argentine Football Association (AFA) confirmed that the final of the Torneo Apertura will be played on Sunday, June 1st at the Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades, in Santiago del Estero. The match will start at 3:30 PM and will include both sets of fans from the finalist teams. The confirmation of the day, time, and venue was made at the last meeting of the Executive Committee of the Professional Football League.

Meanwhile, the schedules for matchday 16 will be announced once the fifteenth round is completed, with the aim of allowing the teams seeking qualification to play simultaneously, as has been done in previous instances.

The weekend before the conclusion of the regular phase will mark the start of the play-offs, scheduled for May 9, 10, and 11. However, the planning of the round of 16 and subsequent stages will be subject to the Conmebol calendar.

Additionally, during the meeting, the Balance and Management were approved, as well as the appointment of club representatives in the Professional Football League. Transfer period issues were also addressed, evaluating income and expenses with the aim of optimizing scouting strategies.

When the International Super Cup and the Argentine Super Cup are played

The AFA also announced the dates for the upcoming editions of the International Super Cup and the Argentine Super Cup. The tournament held outside the country will take place on Saturday, July 5, with Vélez and Estudiantes de La Plata as the main contenders, and it still doesn't have a confirmed venue.

The Liniers team qualified by being the best in the 2024 annual table, while the team from La Plata gained access after winning the Trofeo de Campeones. Meanwhile, the Argentine Super Cup, which will be played between the champions of the Professional League, Vélez, and the Copa Argentina, Central Córdoba, will be on Saturday, September 6 with the venue to be confirmed.
