Kraisman had been detained since January in Bouwer, after attempting to collect one million pesos (2,205 pounds) using a forged ID belonging to the "phantom employee" of the Legislature. Pending cases and judicial context
The leader remains charged with attempted fraud against the public administration, a particularly sensitive crime due to the management of state resources. In that operation, Kraisman was arrested at a Banco de Córdoba branch in the General Paz neighborhood along with Luciana Castro, a municipal employee accused of participating in the scheme. In addition, Virginia Martínez—the woman whose name appeared on the manipulated document—was charged with aggravated perjury for her testimony in the case file.
This process is joined by another 2024 case, when he was detained after attempting to steal products at a Mariano Max supermarket and confronting police officers. To avoid a public trial for that incident, his defense offered an economic reparation agreement of 32,000 pesos (71 pounds), double the amount stolen.
