However, sources close to the situation clarified that the visit to the clinic was related to routine medical checkups, part of the ongoing monitoring he has undergone for years due to his illness. The historic coach, a champion with Boca and a reference in Argentine football, returned home without complications, bringing reassurance to the squad and supporters.
Meanwhile, it emerged that Russo is dealing with a urinary tract infection, which also prompted his transfer to the medical facility.

There was no official statement from the Ribera club, although various specialized media outlets confirmed that the coach is not hospitalized. At a crucial moment in the Torneo Clausura, his presence on the bench is not at risk and the coaching staff is working normally ahead of the upcoming matches.
Beyond the initial scare, the coach is in good condition and awaiting final medical clearance during the day to return to work.

After Boca's victory over Aldosivi at the José María Minella last Sunday, the squad was given days off and will resume training this Wednesday at the Ezeiza facility. The next match will be in two weeks against Rosario Central at the Gigante de Arroyito for the eighth round of the Torneo Clausura.
