With his arrival at Liverpool for 144 million euros, the Swede also became the most expensive signing in Premier League history
The Premier League once again demonstrated its economic power in the transfer market, with total spending exceeding 3.5 billioneuros and leaving the rest of the world's leagues without competition. Liverpool delivered the biggest blow, managing to place two signings in the top 10 most expensive transfers in history, with Swedish player Alexander Isak as the absolute protagonist.
The striker arrived from Newcastle for about 144 million, making it the most expensive transfer in Premier League history and the third most expensive signing in world football, only behind Neymar (222 million) and Kylian Mbappé (180 million).

Nevertheless, the Anfield side did not stop there, as it also added German Florian Wirtz (125 million), who also entered the TOP 10, Frenchman Hugo Ekitike (95 million), Hungarian Milos Kerkez (46.9 million), Dutchman Jeremie Frimpong (40 million), and Italian Geovanni Leoni (31 million). In total, Liverpool's investment reached almost 500 million euros (481.9).
