Expert Horacio Botta Bernaus provided details in an interview with Cadena 3 about the new requirements for driving on Córdoba's highways today. The analysis focused on adherence to the National Traffic Law and on the importance of avoiding the discretion of traffic officers.
One of the central points was the regulation on the use of white daytime running lights or LEDs, whose main function is to be seen on the road today. The attorney questioned the fact that the law requires drivers to turn on low beams when there is low visibility, since the concept is subject to interpretation.
Regarding documentation, it was confirmed that the Mi Argentina app is valid for presenting the national ID card and the digital driver's license. The insurance certificate can also be shown in virtual format without the need to have the physical printed version in the car today. The blue card is no longer legally valid, so no additional authorization is required if the owner is driving his or her own car.
En materia de documentación se confirmó que la aplicación Mi Argentina es válida para presentar el DNI y la licencia de conducir digital.
Speeds and highway controls
Regarding maximum speeds, the expert recalled that the main rule is to always respect the existing signage on the current road. On freeways, the general limit is 130 kilometers per hour (80.8 miles per hour), while on divided highways it usually drops to 110 kilometers per hour (68.4 miles per hour). The enforcement authority can set maximums of 100 kilometers per hour (62.1 miles per hour) in mountain areas due to the geographical risk along the entire route.
The specialist pointed out that police controls must be reasonable and must not turn into traps that affect road traffic today. It is recommended to have a professional inspection of the vehicle before traveling, paying special attention to the condition of the 4 tires. There is no mandatory technical inspection at the national level and no fine applies if the province of origin doesn't legally require it today.

Mandatory safety elements
The fire extinguisher must be located inside the passenger compartment, fixed in place and within the driver's reach, with a valid charge in order to be used properly. The use of seat belts is mandatory for all occupants and each of them is entitled to only one place in the vehicle. In the event of a control considered unfair, it was recommended not to argue on the spot, to be notified of the infraction and to file the administrative appeal.
