After the assassination of conservative leader Charlie Kirk, which took place last Wednesday at Utah Valley State University, commentator Steven Crowder revealed that he had been subpoenaed by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
The subpoena would be related to information that Crowder had previously disclosed about the case, which allegedly came from an internal communication between agents involved in the investigation.
In a post made Thursday morning on his official account on the X platform, Crowder shared that he had received an email from an ATF agent. The message included what appeared to be an operational summary regarding findings by authorities at the crime scene.

A weapon was found in the area.
According to the information released, law enforcement agents located a Mauser rifle, .30-06 caliber, of imported model and bolt-action type, in a wooded area near the university campus. The weapon was wrapped in a towel and, according to reports, was found in a location that matches the escape route observed in surveillance videos of the suspect.
The weapon contained a spent shell casing still in the chamber, along with three unused cartridges in the magazine. According to the same report, all the cartridges were engraved with phrases related to transgender and "antifascist" ideologies.
