Federal authorities in the United States released the first images of the main suspect in the murder of Charlie Kirk, a well-known conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA. The FBI urged citizens to provide any information that could help locate the individual, making the 1-800-CALL FBI hotline and digital channels available for submitting audiovisual material.
The official statement emphasized the importance of citizen cooperation to advance the investigation, which remains open after the attack that took place at Utah Valley University.
Investigation progress: the weapon and new leads
During a press conference, Robert Bohls, special agent in charge of the FBI office in Salt Lake City, confirmed the recovery of the murder weapon: a high-powered bolt-action rifle, found in a wooded area near the university campus. In addition, authorities revealed the existence of a "good video" of the suspect, which could be key to his identification.

Beau Mason, commissioner of the Utah Department of Public Safety, explained that the shooter arrived on campus at 11:52 a.m., accessed a rooftop, moved through the building, and finally fled toward a nearby neighborhood, blending in with the student environment due to his apparent college age.
Among the evidence collected are a shoe print, a palm print, and forearm marks, which are being analyzed in the laboratory. So far, the FBI has received more than 130 tips about the case.
