Amid the growing tension between President Javier Milei and operating journalism, host Baby Etchecopar made reprehensible statements during his editorial on A24 that sparked controversy.

His words represent the confrontational behavior of the media against the libertarian administration, which they continuously attack with false news and misinformation.

During his program, the journalist stated: "Journalism does not die, and journalism responds, and responds, and responds, and ours is forever and theirs lasts 4 years. And we are wearing it out".

In that same vein, Etchecopar went even further by referring to the future of those currently in power. "After 4 years, if they do not win again, they will not be able to order even a pizza, they will not be able to go buy vegetables", he claimed, alluding to the idea that, according to him, they would not be able to function normally in everyday life.

The statements come in a context where President Javier Milei has repeatedly questioned sectors of journalism, which he accuses of politically operating and attempting to condition governments through media pressure.

In this framework, Baby Etchecopar's remarks reflect the hostile behavior of journalists, who, instead of doing their job and informing, dedicate themselves to attacking the Government with false news, with the aim of politically wearing it down in defense of their interests.

Statements from Milei

In recent weeks, President Milei has written messages criticizing operating journalists, who represent the vast majority of the sector.

“95% of journalists in Argentina lie shamelessly, and even when one presents the data to end the lie, they do not care and continue doing it,” the president stated a few days ago.

Similarly, he criticized: “Journalism claims to be the voice of the people, but every day it becomes more exposed that they are nothing more than the voice of their friends… or directly of their bosses,”
