A bail of $30 million was set to release the Kirchnerist Alesia Abaigar.

The Buenos Aires official is under arrest for the attack on Congressman José Luis Espert's house and remains under house arrest

Federal Court No. 1 of San Isidro, presided over by Judge Sandra Arroyo Salgado, imposed bail of 30 million pesos ($30 million) for the release of Alesia Abaigar, an official of the Ministry of Women, Gender Policies and Sexual Diversity of Buenos Aires Province. Abaigar is under house arrest, charged with her involvement in the attack on the home of national deputy José Luis Espert.

The incident, which included threats and the throwing of excrement at the legislator's residence, was judicially classified as an attack against public order, aggravated by incitement to hatred and threats for ideological reasons. The Federal Chamber of San Martín had authorized the release, but left the setting of bail in the hands of the original court, with the aim of ensuring the defendant's compliance with the criminal proceedings.

The judge's decision was appealed by defense attorneys Daniel Llermanos and Adrián Albor, who argued that the amount set is "impossible to fulfill" for the accused and "not even minimally justified". They also questioned the magistrate's criterion in requiring weekly appearances at court, and requested that this frequency be monthly.

They did not, however, object to the restrictions on leaving the country or the restraining order regarding Espert.

The defense considered that the measure "mocks" the Chamber's ruling, which had considered that there were no procedural risks. The motion keeps that the bail should be proportional to Abaigar's income, even suggesting that it could be covered with part of her bonus.

Meanwhile, Eva Mieri, president of the Frente de Todos bloc in the Quilmes City Council and a leader close to Mayor Mayra Mendoza, remains in custody. Mieri is being held at the Ezeiza federal women's prison, after the court rejected her request for release.

According to the case file, she allegedly provided an official van from the Municipality of Quilmes to carry out the demonstration, which led to charges of embezzlement of public funds and license plate tampering, among other charges.

The contents of Mieri's cell phone were almost completely erased before the incident. At the time of the forensic examination, it contained no messages, photos, or history, except for a handful of WhatsApp conversations from the previous day. The prosecution interpreted this situation as a deliberate attempt to hinder the investigation.

Both cases reveal a troubling pattern of partisan use of state resources by officials linked to Kirchnerism, in actions aimed at politically intimidating opposition leaders.

The direct involvement of provincial government representatives, the use of official vehicles, and coordination from government offices highlight a state apparatus serving factional interests.

These actions constitute not only a violation of the law, but also a direct attack on freedom of thought, democratic coexistence, and private property, as they damaged the home of national deputy José Luis Espert.
