The Barcelona celebrated a new title in the best possible way. At the renovated Camp Nou, the culé team defeated Real Madrid 2-0 and was crowned back-to-back champion of LaLiga in front of their classic rival.

The Spanish derby started with possession evenly distributed; however, it found its first turning point in the 7th minute with a dangerous foul by Antonio Rüdiger on Ferran Torres at the edge of the area. The one who would take the free kick was Marcus Rashford, who opened the scoring for the home team with a stunning shot into the right corner of Thibaut Courtois.

The visitors tried to regroup quickly with some isolated chances from Gonzalo García and Aurélien Tchouaméni, but they couldn't change the score. A few minutes later, the blaugrana team would extend their lead thanks to Ferran, who received a great backheel assist from Dani Olmo in the center of the area and left the Belgian goalkeeper with no chance.

Clearly outmatched by their rival, the Casa Blanca was looking for a way to reduce the deficit. In the 21st minute, Gonzalo García got behind the Barça defense and found himself one-on-one with goalkeeper Joan García, but he missed the chance. Shortly after, Tchouaméni had a shot from outside the area, but it went wide.

On the other hand, Barcelona was already thinking about a rout, which they almost achieved with Rashford. In the 37th minute, the Englishman received a great pass from Ferran in the midfield, outpaced Francisco García, and ran down the right to the area, where he took a shot that Courtois barely deflected to prevent it from being 3-0. From the resulting corner, Olmo attempted a right-footed shot, but it went wide.

In the second half, the tone of the match remained the same: a dominant home team looking for a third goal and a visiting team trying to find their chance to close the gap. In this context, at the start of the second half, the players coached by Hansi Flick, who managed his team despite the recent death of his father, had two clear opportunities, one from Fermín López and another from Ferran, but both were neutralized by the Belgian goalkeeper.

In the 62nd minute, the Merengue seemed to react thanks to Jude Bellingham, who would score the provisional 2-1, however, this goal was disallowed for an offside prior. Beyond this action and some chances of little danger from both sides, the match would ultimately end with a culé victory of 2-0.

With this victory, Barcelona not only won LaLiga, the No. 29, but did so at home against their classic rival, something that had never happened in their history, and also equalized the head-to-head record between them, with 105 victories for each side and 52 draws. On the other hand, despite having three more matches to play, the heavy defeat meant the end of a title-less season for Real Madrid.
