Ezequiel "Equi" Fernández, one of the most outstanding talents to emerge from Boca's youth academy in recent years, is once again at the center of the European transfer market scene. The midfielder, a key player in the Xeneize squad that reached the 2023 Copa Libertadores final before being transferred to Al-Qadisiyah for 20 million dollars, has taken a new step in his career.
According to Fabrizio Romano, a journalist specializing in the transfer market, Bayer Leverkusen purchased the transfer rights of the 23-year-old player for 30 million euros plus a 15% capital gain. He also added that the first part of the medical examination to join the German team will take place in Saudi Arabia.
