'An exemplary turning point,' Burlando stated after Contardi’s conviction.
The attorney revealed how Julieta was assisted after her medical episode and analyzed the implications of the ruling
The morning when Claudio Contardi was sentenced to 19 years in prison left an unexpected scene: Julieta Prandi suffered a breakdown inside the courtroom, when her ex-husband was no longer present.
Fernando Burlando, the actress and host's attorney, confirmed that the crisis occurred as soon as she entered the room. "Fortunately, her psychologist was there, there was a doctor, and they were able to assist her quickly," he told the press.

"A fitting sentence"
Burlando described the verdict as "a very harsh sentence" and stated that "life, society, his personality, his attitudes clearly don't even help him get a lawyer," the attorney said about Contardi.
He also stated that the sentence handed down was "a sentence in line with the situation evaluated by the court," although he recalled that the prosecution had requested 50 years "due to the repeated nature of the abuse." For the attorney, the ruling marks "a turning point that sets an example and makes us all better," but he warned about the need to "improve the justice system's response times to society."
Contardi's transfer
The Oral Criminal Court No. 2 of Zárate-Campana, composed of Daniel Répolo, Lucía Leiro, and Mariano Aguilar, found Contardi guilty of aggravated sexual abuse with carnal access, for causing serious harm to the victim's mental health and in a context of repeated acts.
Meanwhile, as Burlando was giving statements, the police were transferring Contardi, hooded, to an unmarked vehicle for his subsequent admission to the DDI of Campana.
