Belgrano and Instituto clubs were defrauded by the sale of tickets to the stadium

Both Córdoba entities suffered fraud with tickets purchased online by a gang of criminals

The soccer clubs of Córdoba Belgrano and Instituto were defrauded through the online sale of tickets to the stadium.

A group made up of at least two women and one man purchased season tickets for the matches that Belgrano played at home online, using stolen data from credit card holders.

They then sold them, and those who acquired these tickets did so enticed by a "tempting discount" on the price. They attended the stadium and had no issues entering.

The court charged the accused with the crime of "repeated fraud through unauthorized use of credit card data."

It is estimated that the damage reached about 500 tickets.

Belgrano's statement regarding ticket sale fraud

Subsequently, the club had difficulties collecting payment for those ticket sales. For this reason, it issued a statement titled "Sanctions for members involved in fraudulent transactions."

"Within the framework of the ongoing investigations, Club Atlético Belgrano reports that, after having issued the corresponding summons, the institution's Disciplinary Tribunal decided to impose severe sanctions on members involved in fraudulent transactions detected on the web panel," stated the text from the Pirata club.

"These events, which were publicly reported on May 29 through an official statement, also include a criminal complaint that is currently in the hands of the court," the statement added.

In light of this, the institution from the Alberdi neighborhood recommended that interested parties not carry out transactions through third parties and that the only official channels enabled for member-related procedures are: the website www.belgranosocios.com, the club headquarters, or the phone number 0810 345 1322.

The ticket sale fraud at Instituto de Córdoba club

Meanwhile, at the end of last June, the "million-dollar fraud" suffered by Instituto Atlético Central Córdoba club became known, involving the fraudulent acquisition of tickets to enter the Alta Córdoba stadium without these being paid for.

The investigation was carried out by Córdoba's Cybercrime Prosecutor, Franco Pilnik Erramouspe, who sent two women and one man to trial as alleged members of the case.

In the case of the alleged Instituto fraudsters, the investigation file is complete, as the situation of the three members has already been decided.

One of the women has an initial plea hearing scheduled for this Thursday, while the other two did not admit their responsibility and have their case awaiting oral and public trial in the 1st Criminal Chamber.

In these cases, the charge for all three is "illicit association" and "fraud through unauthorized use of credit card."
