Big Brother Golden Generation: the new edition that will mix celebrities and anonymous contestants

As the final hours of Gran Hermano 2025 unfold, Telefe surprised everyone with news that shifted the focus: casting is now open for the new edition, which will be called Gran Hermano Golden Generation.

The announcement was made during Sunday dinner with the four semifinalists, when Santiago del Moro  confirmed that the next season will not be a regular edition. The reality show will open its doors to an unprecedented coexistence among anonymous contestants, influencers, artists, athletes, and former players.

Expectations have risen because there are only two galas left to close this edition. Tonight, Monday the 23rd, the semifinal will take place, where one of the four remaining contestants —Eugenia, Ulises, Tato, or Luz— will leave the house.

On Tuesday the 24th, in a historic gala, the grand champion and runner-up of GH 2025 will be revealed.

What is Gran Hermano Golden Generation?

According to del Moro, this edition will mark a turning point in the history of the reality show. "This isn't an All Stars. Here, everyone can enter: celebrities or unknown people. Everyone has their place," he stated during the farewell dinner.

The host added that those who enter will do so with a "Golden Ticket," obtained through casting or by direct invitation from the show. The production team will have the freedom to invite anyone they consider interesting for this high-impact version.

The goal is clear: to create a house with explosive personalities, combining popularity, charisma, novelty, and media experience. This combination promises to raise the bar.

How to participate: step by step and requirements

Registration is already available at granhermano.mitelefe.com. The only mandatory requirement is to be over 18 years old.

Each applicant must complete a form and upload a presentation video of no more than two minutes. That recording must be hosted on platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo, and its link inserted in the form.

In the video, applicants are expected to introduce themselves —name, age, occupation, place of residence— and explain why they would be ideal to enter. Originality, humor, emotional intensity, or a personal story can work in their favor.
