Authorities in United States arrested an African American man serial killer who contacted his victims through dating apps before robbing and brutally murdering them. This dangerous criminal, in addition to having an extensive criminal record in California, went viral for having used a mask of a white person to conceal his identity.
Prosecutors filed charges on Monday against Rockim Prowell, 34 years old, for the robbery and murder of two men whom he met through dating apps in 2021 and 2023. He is also accused of an attack on a third victim in February of this year, whom he allegedly tied up, beat with a baseball bat, and robbed of his wallet.
Prowell, a resident of Inglewood, was on parole for two robbery convictions between 2019 and 2021. Police state that he could be connected to up to 30 robberies in Los Angeles.

During the attacks, the suspect attempted to remain unidentified by using a rubber mask that made him appear as a young white man, according to security footage released by FOX 11. The mask was found by police when they stopped Prowell in a vehicle linked to the crimes.
