Blow to drug dealing in the Quintas de San Jorge neighborhood, Córdoba: eight arrested

Marijuana, cocaine, psychotropic drugs, and cash were seized, and two points of sale were closed

A drug trafficking organization made up of members of the same family was dismantled in Córdoba Capital. The operations were carried out by the Anti-Narcotics Police Force in the Quintas de San Jorge neighborhood. The investigation was led by the Public Prosecutor's Office.

In total, three raids were carried out at residences located on José Arredondo Street s/n and José Arriola at 3200. Eight people were arrested, including five men and three women. According to authorities, all those involved had direct family ties.

The family structure and the sales circuit

During the operations, 268 doses of marijuana, 185 of cocaine, and 448 rohypnol pills were seized. Cutting tools, cash, and utensils linked to drug trafficking activity were also confiscated. Two active points of sale were dismantled in the same operation.

One of these points operated as a street-level drug dealing spot in a public area. Transactions took place from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. every day. This illegal activity was regularly carried out in the Quintas de San Jorge neighborhood of Córdoba city.

Tension during the FPA deployment

While the raids were being conducted, FPA agents were attacked with stones by local residents. Despite the incidents, no injuries were reported among police personnel. The operation remained under control and ended without further episodes of violence.

The detainees were placed at the disposal of the Narcotics Prosecution Office of the Second Shift. "Drug Trafficking" was the charge brought by the judiciary. The case is being processed under National Law No. 23,737, which is in force to combat drug trafficking.
