Boca Juniors will have to temporarily leave La Bombonera. The team led by Rodolfo Arruabarrena will host Estudiantes de La Plata at the Tomás Adolfo Ducó stadium, owned by Huracán, because the playing field at Alberto J. Armando is still not in optimal condition.
The match is scheduled for this Wednesday at 7 PM, in a move that was initially planned for just one game. However, the institution warned that the situation could extend and force the team from La Ribera to play more matches away from their usual stadium.
The problem with the playing field was exposed during the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana playoffs against O'Higgins. From that moment on, the management began working on the recovery of the pitch to try to solve the deterioration that the ground was showing.
One of the most affected areas is located near the substitutes' benches. This area receives less sunlight and, due to its characteristics, requires special care to ensure the growth and maintenance of the grass.
