San Lorenzo can't find peace either on or off the field. The political crisis surrounding Marcelo Moretti, with strong calls for his resignation from club members, has opened the door to new names in the leadership scene. Among them, Damián Manusovich's name has started to circulate strongly, a former player of the club and current member of the F90 program on ESPN.
The "Ruso" hasn't made any public statements on the matter yet, but various reports place him within Ciclón's political orbit. According to club journalist Rodrigo Vizcarra, his arrival could happen in the short term with support from old acquaintances within the club and an external group.
"There was a meeting last week in Puerto Madero attended by the Calabria brothers and other people, where they discussed the famous San Lorenzo restructuring," he stated on the Pasión Azulgrana program.
"They mentioned Manusovich's name and hinted 'we have a verbal agreement with him and he'd be open to joining our group, but he comes with significant backing, a business group.' There are people who like and people who don't like that term," he added.
If his participation is confirmed, Manusovich would join a working team supported by an investment group, a possibility that generates both anticipation and resistance among fans.
Meanwhile, Marcelo Moretti's future remains uncertain. Although several members of his Board of Directors have already stepped down, so far there are no concrete signs that the president will submit his resignation, but the shadow of leadership vacancy is growing larger.
