Bombshell: Lionel Messi cast doubt on his future at Inter Miami

Lionel Messi set off alarms at Inter Miami after the defeat in the classic against Orlando City. The Argentine sowed uncertainty about his future at the Major League Soccer club.

When asked about the possible extension of his contract, he replied with a smile: "The renewal? No, I don't know anything...", in an interview with the official MLS channel.

Inter Miami, with Messi as starter and captain, fell in the classic against Orlando City by 3-0 in the framework of the 14th MLS matchday. The goals for the visiting team were scored by Luis Muriel, Mario Pasalic, and Dagur Thorhallsson.

With this result, the Herons continue to struggle for consistency. In the last seven matches, they have five defeats and 20 goals against, and they are moving away from the top positions, occupying the sixth place with 22 points in 13 matches.

In the next matchday, Inter will visit Philadelphia, and in June they will participate in the Club World Cup, where they will share Group A with Porto, Palmeiras, and Al Ahly.
