Brazil began their preparation for the classic with Vinicius working separately.

The Real Madrid player was sidelined by Dorival Júnior and casts doubt on his presence against Albiceleste

The Brazil National Team held its first training session this Saturday ahead of the match against Argentina, in a session that featured the isolated participation of Vinicius Júnior.

The team led by Dorival Júnior, arriving at the classic after a last-minute victory over Colombia in Brasília, conducted the first of its three practices before the match. During the session, the Real Madrid forward completed exercises separately and jogged around the field without wearing cleats, accompanied by a member of the coaching staff.

In the 15 minutes open to the press, the image of "Vini" working apart was the most notable, while the rest of the squad performed ball exercises and practiced plays normally. Reports from Brazil indicated that this routine was planned by the physical trainers, as the player didn't arrive in full physical condition for the double date of the Qualifiers after his activity in Europe.

At the end of the session, Dorival Júnior avoided making statements and didn't provide details about Vinicius Júnior's condition or the possible line-up that will face the Albiceleste on Tuesday at 9 PM, Argentina time, at the Monumental.

Brazil threatens to  take measures if there is "racism"

The South American Classic is one of the most exciting duels in international soccer, and ahead of the match, fullback Guilherme Arana made clear the team's stance on potential episodes of racism at the Monumental.

"If it happens, we'll take the necessary measures, because this problem has been present for a long time," expressed the Atlético Mineiro player in a press conference, anticipating a possible reaction from the Brazilian team to any incident.

The issue of racism has been a subject of complaint on various occasions, although Brazil has also been criticized for the lack of self-criticism in situations of hostility in its own territory. In every international match, the intensity and tension grow, without the actors of Brazilian soccer taking responsibility for certain contexts.

The latest controversy between the two

In November 2023, Argentine fans were repressed by the Rio de Janeiro Military Police, in an episode of institutional violence that has become increasingly frequent and brutal on the part of Brazil.

In light of the events occurring near the families of the players, the Argentine National Team players, world champions in Qatar 2022, approached the stands to try to stop the aggression. However, the disturbances continued, leading Lionel Messi to decide to withdraw the team from the field until the repression ceased.

Finally, the match would end 1-0 in favor of the Argentine National Team with a goal by Nicolás Otamendi, ending Brazil's unbeaten home record in South American Qualifiers.
