Without continuity in Úbeda's team, the midfielder could leave Xeneize to move to the neighboring country

Kevin Zenón could change scenery in this transfer window. Without the expected continuity under the coaching of Claudio Úbeda, the attacking midfielder from Boca has begun to receive inquiries from abroad and now he has added a strong offeror from South America.

According to journalist Germán García Grova, São Paulo has taken the first formal steps to learn about the conditions of a possible departure of the player who came through at Unión. The club from São Paulo, currently coached by Hernán Crespo, has included him on its priority list to strengthen the midfield ahead of a 2026 season in which it will have triple competition: Brasileirão, Copa do Brasil and Copa Sudamericana.

The Brazilian side's intention would be to submit an offer for a loan with a purchase option, although for the moment the figures it would be willing to pay to secure the player have not been disclosed.

In parallel, Zenón is also on Alavés's radar. The Spanish team coached by Eduardo "Chacho" Coudet had already tried to sign him on loan and came back with a concrete proposal: an 18-month loan, with a fee of one million dollars and a purchase option of 7 million euros for the full transfer. Boca, for the moment, doesn't accept those conditions and considers the amount set for a possible purchase to be insufficient.

Although the midfielder is among the expendable players and Xeneize would not put obstacles in the way of his departure, the board is seeking to improve the financial terms before moving forward. In addition, it is worth mentioning that currently the club from La Ribera owns 80% of the player's rights, while Unión retains a 20% capital gain clause in the event of a future sale, so the club from Santa Fe is also closely following the outcome.

With two teams keeping an eye on his situation, the future of Boca's midfielder is once again under scrutiny and his departure in this transfer window appears to be a concrete possibility.

Zenón's numbers at Boca

Since his arrival at the beginning of 2024, the former Unión midfielder has played 79 matches in the blue and gold jersey, in which he has scored 10 goals and provided 7 assists. In addition, in the little more than 5000 minutes that he has been on the field, he has been booked on 6 occasions and sent off once.
