The Italian adviser analyzed the challenging 2025 for the French team and pointed to a necessary recovery with the new regulations
Alpine's year ended as it had begun: far from the objectives and with a performance that was never up to the standards of the category. After the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which crowned Lando Norris as champion, Flavio Briatore was the authorized voice to put into words the balance of a season to forget for the French team.
"Today's result probably sums up our season with a car that hasn't been competitive enough. This has been a long and often difficult year for the whole team. I know everyone is eager to put this behind and willing to give everything, without rest, so that next season is even more successful," emphasized the executive advisor of the French team.

The final assessment speaks for itself: last place in the constructors' championship, with just 22 points, all earned by Pierre Gasly. Franco Colapinto, who got into the car from the seventh round replacing Jack Doohan, was never able to enter the points zone, limited by a single-seater that offered no answers.
Meanwhile, Briatore allowed himself to acknowledge those who set the pace of the championship and were crowned this season: "Congratulations to McLaren and Lando Norris for their titles. Their performance has been extraordinary and they've been the benchmark in Formula 1 this year. Meanwhile, we keep working hard, with a better season in 2026 in sight."

With 2025 already filed away, in Enstone all that remains is to work with the new regulations in mind and a 2026 that, for Alpine, will have to be the year of rebirth.
When will Colapinto race again
After the last race of the year in Abu Dhabi, Formula 1 will go on break until next year. First, there will be a preseason with three test sessions: one in Barcelona (from January 26 to 30) and two in Bahrain (from February 11 to 13 and from the 18th to the 20th of the same month).
In this regard, only in March does the official calendar of the category begin with the Australian Grand Prix, which will take place from 6 to 8 at the Albert Park circuit in Melbourne.
