The Government of Javier Milei defined the main macroeconomic variables that will be included in the 2027 Budget, the project of which will be presented to the Chamber of Deputies in the coming hours.
The official projections contemplate a growth of 4% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), an average annual inflation of 21.1%, and an improvement of 25.4% in the average salary.
The figures are part of the economic scenario developed by the Minister of Economy, Luis "Toto" Caputo, for the upcoming year. Among the central variables, the exchange rate also appears, for which an annual average of $1,728 is estimated and a value of $1,847.6 by December 2027.

The Government clarified that this figure does not represent a forecast of the future dollar exchange rate, but rather arises from applying the projected inflation for the next year to the current value of the wholesale exchange rate.
One of the main fiscal objectives of the project will be to maintain the positive result of public accounts. If the estimates are met, Argentina would achieve four consecutive years of financial surplus, in line with the fiscal result that the Government seeks to consolidate.
The 2027 Budget also projects a strong performance of the external sector. Exports would exceed USD 130 billion, a level that would mark a historical record if realized. Furthermore, the official scenario contemplates a positive balance of goods and services exceeding USD 15.56 billion.

The first details of the project were known after a meeting of the Government's political table, led by Karina Milei. The meeting included the Chief of Staff, Diego Santilli; Luis Caputo; the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem; Patricia Bullrich; Eduardo Menem; Ignacio Devitt; Santiago Caputo; and Fabián Fernández.
With these projections, Milei's Government seeks to establish the economic framework for 2027 and present to Congress the variables on which the estimates of income, expenses, and fiscal result for the next fiscal year will be developed.
