The Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, led the delivery of a historic re-equipment plan for the Federal Forces, accompanied by a simulation of anti-riot practices. The investment, exceeding USD 4.2 million and ARS 8.8 billion, strengthens the "zero tolerance for crime" policy promoted by President Javier Milei.
"With determination, decisiveness, and proven management, we are carrying out concrete actions that mark a turning point. Real security, not speeches", stated Bullrich, emphasizing that each investment is also a message of firmness to those who threaten social peace.
Unprecedented equipment and modernization
The plan marks a qualitative leap in infrastructure and technology, with acquisitions that multiply the State's operational capacity against crime. Among the most notable reinforcements are:
- 3,375 ballistic underclothing vests (the last purchase was in 2019 with only 150 units, a 22x increase).
- 4,050 12/70 gauge shotguns (last purchase in 2018 with 50 units, an 80x increase).
- 81 high-displacement motorcycles, the first acquisition of this type in the history of the Forces.
- 69 next-generation drones, an unprecedented incorporation of unmanned technology.
- 13 detainee transport vehicles, certified under CNRT standards.
- Tactical and protective equipment, last purchased in 2018.
