Rockstar Games marked an era in video games with titles like Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption. However, not all of its projects continued, and one of the most memorable is Bully.
Many fans wonder why a sequel never arrived. Dan Houser, co-founder of Rockstar, spoke about the topic in an interview with IGN and gave a clear reason: resource limitations and small teams.

Creative and resource limitations
"I think there were just bandwidth issues. If you have a small creative team and a small management team, you simply can't do all the projects you want," Houser explained. This highlights the difficulty of managing several productions simultaneously, even for a giant like Rockstar.
A game approaching two decades
In 2026, Bully will celebrate 20 years since its release. Its concept was innovative and controversial for the time: an open world where the player took on the role of a student at a private school.
The experience inside the school
Players had to face gangs, fulfill their academic obligations, and maintain an active social life. All of this with Rockstar's characteristic humor, which turned the game into a cult classic.

The dream of a sequel
Although many are hoping for a continuation, the reality according to Houser is that the development of a new Bully hasn't been possible due to internal limitations. The game's legacy remains alive and its community continues to wait for a future announcement.
