The provincial Executive reduces the number of ministries through structural integrations in Health and Education
The administration of the province of Córdoba formalized a deep restructuring process in its cabinet of ministers at the end of last week. This measure implies the elimination of the Environment and Human Development portfolios in order to integrate them into other strategic areas of the local organizational chart. The objective reported by the authorities of the Civic Center is to concentrate operational functions without neglecting the institutional weight of each key sector.
Meanwhile, Marcelo Rodio is leaving his position in the Secretariat of Transportation to take office as president of the Córdoba Culture Agency, replacing Raúl Sansica. The outgoing official of the cultural agency will remain linked to the provincial body by occupying the position of second in command in the new administration. This appointment seeks to deepen the direct link between the community and the various cultural policies promoted by the Córdoba government.
Victoria Flores, who led the now-defunct Ministry of Environment, will go on to serve as secretary general within the Ministry of Education. Meanwhile, Liliana Montero will join the Ministry of Health under a general secretariat that will maintain its ministerial rank, according to reports. Both officials will have the mission of coordinating the policies of their previous areas with the health and education systems of the state territory.

New configuration of the ministerial structure
Within the orbit of Education, the General Secretariat of Education and Environment was created with the purpose of unifying criteria and tasks. In the field of public health, the new office will seek to strengthen the relationship between health centers and social development. These modifications formally reduce the cabinet to twelve ministries and five agencies active in the government scheme of Córdoba.
The internal reorganization is an administrative response that seeks to optimize public management in the face of the challenges of the current political model. Previously, the Executive had already merged the Ministry of Production with Bioagroindustry in order to simplify decision-making in the rural sector. With these decisions, the government intends to present a more compact state structure, in line with the guidelines implemented by the national government.
Pedro Dellarossa, former Minister of Production, now serves as vice president of Banco de Córdoba after the recent moves in the provincial administration. Regarding the Secretariat of Transportation, it is estimated that Cristian Sansalone could be placed in charge of the area in order to provide technical continuity to the local team. The changes implemented in the governmental structure took effect immediately in order to ensure the operability of all departments.
